Can discussion, democracy, and class-created rubrics improve digital engagement? Instructors around the world are trying to define what it means to be present in the digital classroom amid concerns of privacy, lack of technology, and even accessibility. We will explore whether student-driven inquiry techniques can be used to generate expectations, increase student buy-in, and circumvent some of the most common barriers of creating rubrics and standards for digital participation.
