Ally & Accessibility Instructor Training
This workshop provides an in-depth exploration of accessibility barriers in instructional materials: how to recognise them, how to correct them, and how to avoid them in your design of new materials. The training focuses on using Ally as a powerful assistant in the creation of quality educational resources with the goal of providing equal access to all students.
Learn Administration Readiness
This workshop is for participants who will manage the institution's Learn site from a functional standpoint. It introduces participants to the Graphical User Interface (GUI). It covers the essential tools and functions accessible through the Administrator Panel in the browser interface. It does not cover technical topics, including but not limited to server maintenance and installation.
Learn Teaching Readiness ULTRA
This workshop covers Learn Ultra course experience. The modular based agenda allows you to pick and choose the modules to fit your course experience and/or participant level of knowledge. It provides hands-on instruction covering course-building, assessment, and communication tools. A variety of activities and best- practice discussions provide a thorough understanding of how to efficiently manage teaching tasks and create dynamic learning environments for students.
Learn Ultra Course Conversion
This hands-on workshop is designed for experienced course developers, support staff and instructors of Learn Original who will be converting Original courses to the Ultra course view.
Transitioning to the Learn Ultra Experience
This workshop is designed for clients who have moved to the SaaS platform and are now ready to turn on both Ultra Base Navigation and Ultra course view. It will assist clients in gathering essential information and making practical decisions about the transition from Original to Ultra.

Learn Administration & Teaching Readiness (2 Options)
This workshop combines two of our other workshops, Learn Teaching Readiness and Learn Administration Readiness, to form the ultimate customisable Learn functional training experience for teachers, instructional designers, and administrators. There are two options available: one consecutive 3 ½ day engagement or two consecutive 3 ½ day engagements.
Designing Exemplary Courses
This workshop prepares participants to transform a current course website from an informational resource to an interactive learning environment using the Blackboard Exemplary Course Programme rubric or another institutional rubric as a guide.
Learn Administration Services
This remotely delivered service provides the client with help in configuring their Learn site in five two-hour sessions. The goal is to customise the site to serve their instructional goals and institutional structure. These sessions address configuration sessions via the GUI (Graphic User Interface) and will not cover technical topics, including but not limited to server maintenance and installation.
Faculty Support Services
The Faculty Support Service is designed to provide one-on-one or small group support to an institution’s faculty, teachers or instructional staff. Through this personalized service, faculty with different levels of experience, knowledge, and expertise can expand their online teaching and learning skills by working directly with a Blackboard product expert. The sessions can be open office hours or webinar-style with chosen topics or hands-on assistance populating course shells or building assessments.
Blackboard Academy Online Subscription
This subscription provides a way to train faculty and administrators in a flexible manner. Online courses cover a variety of topics in two different modes of delivery, self-paced and facilitated, to accommodate diverse learning preferences and busy schedules. Choose twenty seats from a specified course list covering Learn, Collaborate, and Accessibility for teachers, course designers, and administrators.
Accessibility Fundamentals for Instructors & Course Designers
This course is designed to provide participants with a broad knowledge of accessibility issues. Participants will learn how disabilities can limit access to electronic instructional materials, and what they can do to make course content as accessible as possible.
Learn Administration Essentials Certification
This course introduces you to the functional administration of the Blackboard Learn platform via the Graphical User Interface (GUI). It is appropriate for the following platform deployments: Self-Hosted, Blackboard Managed Hosted, or SaaS. There are three certification tracks within the course: Original, Ultra or Dual.
Introduction to Blackboard Learn
This online course provides a self-paced introduction to the Blackboard Learn course environment. It highlights some of the instructional tools that can enhance student learning and save time for instructors. This course includes modules for Original and Ultra Course Views.
Learn Teaching Essentials Certification for Ultra
In this facilitated online course covering Learn Ultra, you will learn the basics of building a course, how to effectively select communication tools to increase student engagement, and how to design effective assessment activities. The course is divided into five modules: Getting Started with Ultra, Building Courses, Assessing Learners, Enhancing Communication, and Evaluating Your Course.

Learn Advanced Teaching Certification for Original
In this facilitated online course, explore the tools and features to monitor and evaluate student performance; learn about collaboration tools; and discover new strategies for effectively designing, organising, and presenting content to increase student success. The course is divided into three modules: Monitoring Student Performance, Building Online Communities, and Designing Engaging Content.
Getting Started with Online Course Facilitation
Learn how to effectively facilitate in an online or blended classroom. It focuses on building facilitation skills in four areas: technical, managerial, social, and pedagogical. This course is not platform specific, i.e., it is relevant for all participants, regardless of the Learning Management System used for delivering courses.

This Train-the-Trainer approach provides support and workshop materials to an organisation’s master training team to deliver training on Ally and Accessibility to their own teachers and staff.
Building Block Essentials
This course provides clients with the knowledge necessary to successfully build Blackboard Learn application extensions through readings, recordings, assignments, and assessments designed to demonstrate the client's mastery of the course objective of becoming self-sufficient in their Blackboard Building Block development activities.
Integrations Framework Online Course
This self-paced course provides Blackboard Learn clients with the knowledge necessary to successfully implement the SIS Integration Framework tool. It will provide the client with an understanding of best practices around planning, auditing, guidance, scripting technique overview, troubleshooting and general overview and implementation of the data integration process.
Authentication Framework TKT
The objective of the Authentication Framework Technical Knowledge Transfer (TKT) service is to assist the client in configuring the Blackboard Learn software to integrate with their current LDAP, CAS, or Shibboleth Identity Provider infrastructure such as Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS), etc. by providing a remote mentored engagement.
Building Block Technical Knowledge Transfer
The objective of this service is to provide clients with the knowledge necessary to successfully build Blackboard Learn application extensions. This onsite workshop includes information, technical exercises, development examples, and documentation so that the client becomes self-sufficient in their Blackboard Building Block development activities.
Custom Theme TKT
The objective of the Custom Theme Technical Knowledge Transfer (TKT) is to provide Blackboard Learn clients with the knowledge necessary to successfully implement branding changes to the Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), thus altering the presentation of colours and fonts in their institution's Blackboard Learn theme.
Integration Technical Knowledge Transfer
The objective of this service is to provide a remotely delivered mentoring service to a client moving to the SIS Integration Framework found in Blackboard Learn Release 9.1 Service Pack 8 and later from the Snapshot Controller. It will provide the client with planning, auditing, guidance, scripting technique overview, troubleshooting, and a final report documenting the data integration process.
Integration Custom Scripting Service
The objective of this service is to provide an overview and training of the Blackboard Learn SIS integration custom scripting functionality. This service is intended for clients who have implemented the IMS Learning Information Services (LIS) integration method. This service will provide the client with Learn scripting overview, training and documentation.
Open Database Technical Knowledge Transfer
This service will provide clients with the knowledge to successfully build Blackboard Learn reports, by providing a 2-day onsite workshop or expanded remote delivery that includes documentation, technical exercises, ad-hoc queries, and a final report delivered by Blackboard Consulting that will enable the client to become self-sufficient in their Blackboard database and report generation activities.
System Administration Technical Knowledge Transfer
The System Administration Mentoring and Technical Knowledge Transfer service educates clients to successfully administer the Blackboard Learn system through a 3-day onsite or remote workshop to help position the client team to become self-sufficient and effective at the management and administration of the Blackboard Learn system.
