Mark Strassman is the Senior Vice President of Product Marketing and Management at Blackboard, where he oversees the company's product and integrated portfolio strategy to ensure Blackboard continues to build solutions that delight institutions, administrators, educators and students.
Before joining Blackboard in 2013, Mark held various executive management positions at Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK). While responsible for the management of Autodesk’s core products, AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT, Mark reinvigorated the product line with groundbreaking design and functionality that resulted in a doubling of the business. At Autodesk, Mark also led the media and entertainment, plant design and construction businesses.
Prior to Autodesk, Mark was vice president of products and marketing at Kivera, now known as TeleCommunication Systems. Mark also served in senior strategic product management and marketing positions at Macromedia, where he introduced and established Flash as a Web standard. He also held senior marketing and product management positions at Adobe Systems, where he worked on various products and initiatives, including PageMill, Acrobat and GoLive.
Mark holds a master’s degree from the Haas School at the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Arts in architectural studies and industrial archaeology from Brown University.
