As Blackboard’s Vice President of Operational Excellence, Emily Crespin is responsible for driving operational and organizational rigor in the company’s Areas of Excellence—Product Excellence, Client Experience and Sales Effectiveness. In this role, she works with leaders across the company to define, architect, facilitate, drive and lead transformation initiatives. She also serves as chief of staff to Blackboard’s CEO leadership team, helping ensure the team members are focusing on the highest priority items, both individually and collectively.
Emily has over 20 years of experience architecting and driving large scale, enterprise-wide organizational change. Prior to joining Blackboard, Emily was Director of CSRA’s Change Management Office where she led the integration of two multi-billion dollar organizations (CSGov and SRA, International) into one highly-productive firm. Before the integration, Emily was Vice President and Director of SRA’s Center for Strategy and Organizational Change with responsibility for integrating the principles and practices of Organizational Change Management (OCM) into how SRA approaches and delivers solutions for clients.
Additionally, she served as Director for Touchstone Consulting Group, a division of SRA focused on delivering strategy consulting and program management services for clients in federal, state, and local governments, non-profits and private organizations.
Before Touchstone, Emily held consulting positions at several organizations including Pivotal Insight LLC, Guardian Life Insurance Company and American Management Systems.
Emily is co-founder of CollaborateUp, an international consulting firm that advises government, businesses and non-profits on how to work together to solve big problems. She developed the firm’s training curriculum and consulting methodologies to improve the performance of organizations and teams around the world.
Emily holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational psychology from the University of Virginia.
