This workshop is designed for novice users just beginning to use Blackboard Learn, Course Delivery, SP14. It will cover the fundamentals of setting up a course menu, adding content, creating an assignment and/or simple test, and planning a discussion forum.

You will have an opportunity to learn how the framework operates, what best practices are associated with the framework, and how others in the workshop have used the framework.

Certified Trainer Summit

In this forum, participants will have opportunities to hear engaging presentations, share experiences and resources, and connect more fully with the certified trainer community. There will be four 15-minute presentation/demos on the following topics: Faculty Training, Upgrade Strategies, Training Materials, Beyond Blackboard; Web 2..0 Resources, and My Own Professional Development. After each presentation, there will be opportunity for questions, as well as smaller group and/or large group interaction to continue the discussion.

Blackboard Collaborate Product Specialist Certification

We understand the direct relationship between training, certification, and the improved performance of teams using the web conferencing capabilities of Blackboard Collaborate. To help grow and validate your staff’s skills to achieve top-tier performance, we’ve developed the Blackboard Collaborate Product Specialist Certification. This program requires active participation in 3 live Web Conferencing sessions prior to Pre-Conference visit. There will be a quick review followed by a written exam which consists of true/false, multiple-choice, and matching question formats. The written assessment must be completed by the end of the day.
