By joining the Blackboard Certified Trainer Community, you can continue to develop your activities that will support your objectives from the Blackboard Certified Trainer Program. This is a private community built solely for Blackboard Certified Trainers.  It is intended as a professional development outlet and a private online community for our growing list of more than 200 Blackboard Academic Suite™, Blackboard Learning System™ - CE and Blackboard Learning System™ - Vista Certified Trainers.  A valid Blackboard Certified Trainer status is required for participation.

  • What's New: Administering Enterprise
    Date: Monday, August 18, 2008 ~ 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    This instructor-led regional workshop provides intensive, hands-on instruction covering the GUI-based administrative functions introduced in the Blackboard Learning System™ - Enterprise License between Release 7.0 and Release 8.0. A variety of hands-on activities and best-practice discussions provide for a very thorough understanding of how to manage daily administration tasks using the Enterprise License.  Topics include managing flexible system roles, enabling Blackboard Scholar, registering Blackboard Safe Assign, and managing Blackboard Sync. 
  • What's New: Teaching with Enterprise
    Date: Tuesday, August 19 - Wednesday, August 20, 2008 ~ 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    This instructor-led regional workshop provides intensive, hands-on instruction covering the course design and teaching functions introduced in the Blackboard Learning System™ - Enterprise License between Release 7.0 and Release 8.0. A variety of hands-on activities and best-practice discussions provide for a very thorough understanding of how to complete course building and facilitation tasks using Enterprise License.  Topics include monitoring student progress with the Early Warning System and Grade Center, preventing plagiarism with Safe Assign, and establishing self and peer assessments.
  • Designing Exemplary Courses*
    Date: Thursday, August 21 - Friday, August 22, 2008 ~ 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    Once instructors have mastered the features and functions of the Blackboard Learning System™, they will be ready for advanced training on designing and constructing high-quality, instructionally-sound courses. Using the Blackboard Exemplary Course Program rubric as a guide, this workshop prepares participants to transform a current course website from an informational resource to an interactive learning environment. Individuals will participate in practical exercises to help plan and/or revise the overall architecture of their courses and will engage in the discussion and implementation of best practices for course communication and learner assessment.
  • * Designing Exemplary Courses training is intended as a follow-up to Blackboard Learning System Essentials or What's New training. Participants who attend should have completed this workshop, or have experience adding course content, creating and managing a discussion forum, and building, deploying, and grading assignments and tests in Blackboard.
