Aaron is responsible for Consulting, Technical Services, and Training worldwide. He formerly led Wimba's Professional Services organization and brings more than 20 years of experience in education and technology development, delivery and support, and platform development to shape a vision where the customer experience is paramount and the customer voice is integral to product development. Prior to Wimba, Aaron worked for WebCT in sales, marketing and educational services. Prior to WebCT, Aaron was a Special Education teacher in a variety of K-12 settings in California, Colorado, and British Columbia. Aaron received his M.S. in educational psychology and special education from University of British Columbia.
Matt comes to Blackboard Collaborate from Marshall University in Huntington, WV, where he was the director of the Center for Instructional Technology during a time of tremendous growth in e-Learning adoption and program development. While at Marshall, he delivered numerous presentations at statewide technology conferences and multiple WebCT/Blackboard user conferences. He is a two-time EDUCAUSE presenter on topics such as presentation delivery, enterprise implementation and integration, and innovative faculty professional development programs. Matt has more than 16 years experience in distance learning at the higher education level.
Dr. Finnegan has more than 18 years of professional experience in higher education and online learning. He has taught and held leadership positions in online curriculum development, large scale LMS deployments, and integration of educational technologies. He received his PhD in Higher Education from the University of Georgia Institute of Higher Education. He also received his M.S. in Education from Saint Joseph’s University.
Dr. Crenshaw has more than 20 years of professional experience in education and online learning. She has held leadership positions in K-12 teacher professional development, curriculum design, trainer certification, corporate university development, and technology implementations. Dr. Crenshaw began her career in academic settings. She taught elementary and middle school in the Kansas Public School System, wrote and evaluated statewide assessments, and assisted university faculty with research and teaching duties.
Ken Martin brings over 15 years of experience in higher education and K-12 to his role on the consulting team. Prior to joining Blackboard Collaborate, he spent 10 years at Harvard University in numerous leadership roles working with key stakeholders, programs and departments to build technology infrastructure to support blended, synchronous and asynchronous learning environments. Before Harvard, Ken spent 5 years in K-12 working directly with teachers and administrators to make effective use of technology in teaching and learning. He has served as a primary representative to several professional organizations, such as Educause and NERCOMP, and has presented at both national and regional conferences. Ken holds a Master's degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Technology in Education.
Lloyd Stock has worked for Blackboard Collaborate (and previously Wimba) for over 9 years, delivering services for institutions across higher, further, secondary and professional education sectors throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Lloyd holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Information Technology from Birmingham City University and went on to apply his skills as a business analyst in the finance industry. He brings these skills and experience to bear upon solving the problems of academic institutions with a focus on the realisation of strategic goals. Lloyd’s extensive experience of strategies and best practice applicable to both academic and administrative contexts in a wide range of different cultural settings offer great insights for effective implementation of relevant educational technologies.
With his experience in the support organization, Al brings a deep knowledge of the Blackboard Collaborate platform to the Implementation Consulting Services Team. Prior to joining Blackboard Collaborate, he spent six years at Marshall University as a member of the Blackboard Administration team. There he participated in multiple academic technology implementations and provided consultative support for faculty and staff.
Margarita Santiler oversees the Learning Services team responsible for developing and maintaining Blackboard Collaborate educational services. Margarita is a Blackboard vet with 10 years of experience in effective online teaching and learning.
With over 20 years of teaching and learning experience, Amanda is responsible for the team that designs and develops the curriculum for all client-facing product training and certification programs. In addition, Amanda’s team is responsible for all product documentation and for maintaining the Blackboard Collaborate Knowledge Base. For the last 13 years, Amanda has worked in the online learning and web conferencing industries. Prior to that, she spent 10 years as a faculty member at the Boston University School of Public Health and taught classes at the School of Education. Amanda holds Master’s degrees in International Relations, Public Health Services, and Educational Media and Technology, all from Boston University.
As Technical Services Manager at Blackboard Collaborate, Edwin is responsible for evaluating go-to-market opportunities, developing innovative technical services that extend, enhance and integrate Blackboard Collaborate’s enterprise products. As part of his corporate experience, Edwin worked with Blackboard Learn as a Senior Consultant. He has experience working with multiple educational systems, implementation, collaboration suite products, and learning systems. Edwin has partnered with clients worldwide, ranging from the US, Canada, Latin America, Caribbean, Australia, United Kingdom and Europe, using his English and Spanish skills to provide and develop high-quality online and face-to-face technical services.
Dr. Powell has more than 25 years of higher education experience in teaching, research and administration. He has been responsible for establishing and leading a learning and teaching development team with a focus on the use of online learning technologies, continuing professional development and evaluation of strategic institutional initiatives. Graduating in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Swansea, Wales, he gained a PhD in semiconductor devices and more recently, an Executive MBA from the University of Sheffield, UK. Adrian is passionate about the student learning experience and the potential of learning technologies to affect change through the provision of alternative solutions to existing problems.
