Scenario 3
In this scenario, you do not have a Global ID, WebCT ID, User Name, User ID or Password. You do have an access code. Your instructor has given you instructions on how to create your own account in the course.
There are two possibilities within this scenario.
- Your instructor has given you a long URL, such as http://myschool.webct.com:8900/public/mycourse/index.html
- Your instructor has given you a short URL (internet address) such as
http://myschool.webct.com:8900
Instructions for each of these possibilities is provided below.
Possibility # 1

If your instructor has given you a long URL, such as http://myschool.webct.com:8900/public/mycourse/index.html please enter it now. You will see your course's Welcome Page, with three buttons at the bottom, like this:
Action: Click on the Create Account button
Warning: If the Create Account button is missing then you are facing a scenario other than Scenario 3. Please return to the previous screen and select either Scenario 1 or 2.
You may see a screen similar to the one below. If so, click on the Figure 1 image below:

Possibility # 2
If your instructor has given you a short URL (internet address) such as http://myschool.webct.com:8900 you should see a page that looks similar to the one below. If you see a page similar to the one below, click on the Figure 2 image:
