You cannot login to your course from webct.com or blackboard.com and company staff does not have access to the servers running your online courses. Your courses are managed by administrators and course designers at your school. Please contact your instructor or technical support at your school about your individual course questions or concerns.

1. I need technical Support.

  • How do I find which version of WebCT I'm using?

    Once you have logged into WebCT, look in either the Check Browser or WebCT Help. The information will appear in one of those two places depending on the version at your institution.

  • I can't get into my course, or I'm having trouble with my course.

    First, verify the URL of your course as well as your username and password. If you still have difficulties, please contact your instructor or technical support at your school.

  • I want to check my grades but don't see them.

    Please contact your instructor or technical support at your school.

  • How do I add or remove a course from My WebCT?

    If you do not have an Add/Remove course button in your myWebCT area or a pencil in the upper right of the course listing (edit the listing by hiding sections), then you will have to contact your school's WebCT support team to have the older courses removed from your myWebCT page.

  • How do I post assignments to my WebCT course?

    Please contact your instructor for specific instructions.

  • I have a question about my course or the course material. Who should I ask?

    WebCT does not have access to your course. Please contact your instructor for information.

  • I am unable to take a quiz or test.

    WebCT does not have access to your course. Please contact your instructor for information.

  • How should I configure my browser?

    To ensure that your browser is ready for WebCT, check out the WebCT browser tune-up page. It has all the information you will need to make sure your browser settings are optimized for the best possible WebCT experience.

  • I am unable to access WebCT from my home computer.

3. Does WebCT offer courses online?

WebCT develops the e-learning software that colleges, universities, and other institutions use to provide online courses. We do not offer specific online courses or online degree programs. For a comprehensive listing of e-learning programs you can check out the Peterson’s Web site.


4. I'm researching Blackboard and WebCT for a paper or project. What resources are available?

Our Web site contains many resources to assist in your research. We suggest that you visit each of the major areas listed on WebCT’s corporate Web site for in-depth information about our company, software, and services. Please note: WebCT does not provide pricing or free trials for papers or projects. EduTools also provides an independent third party comparison of e-learning systems that may be helpful in your research.
