How do I get to Melbourne?
You can find lots of travel information links on our Hotel & Travel page, including directions to the Swinburne University of Technology’s Hawthorn Campus, and information on travel to the venue.
What will the dress code be?
Smart and Casual – we like our delegates to feel comfortable!
The weather in Melbourne in August has in past years proved to be cool but dry – we hope that this will continue in 2013! As with all weather conditions in the this part of Australia at this time of the year – we recommend you pack for varied weather conditions and consider bringing an umbrella! There is a short walk outside between two buildings on the campus.
Will there be a Conference Dinner or a Party?
Absolutely! Due to popular demand from attendees of previous Blackboard user conferences in Australia, we’re delighted to advise that in 2013 we will be holding a formal conference dinner. Lots of time for networking and persuading your fellow delegates onto the dancefloor!
Our location is to be confirmed soon in central Melbourne.
If you feel you’d like an opportunity to dress up for the occasion in your sequins or dinner suits, you’d be most welcome!
If I have any questions about the conference, which aren’t answered here on the website – who do I contact?
Send an email to Melbourne2013@blackboard.com with your request/question. We promise one of the team will get back to you very quickly.
