Paige Brooks-Jeffiers

Paige Brooks-Jeffiers
Paige is the eLearning Technology Coordinator for KCTCS (Kentucky Community and Technical College System). Read more >

She trains and supports faculty on how to create quality content and implement it through the course management system. Paige has held this position since its inception in 2000. During her 10+ years, she has trained on six different CMSs including WebCT, Angel and Blackboard. She often travels the state of Kentucky providing training to KCTCS faculty and to admins and faculty of other institutions in the state. In addition to training faculty, she also teaches web design and production for a local community college. On rare down times when she isn’t in front of the computer, you may find her enjoying family time with her husband, two kids and five rescued dogs, camping with friends or at the local bingo hall. She joined Ask The Doctors (Formerly the “Ask Dr. C” program) in 2010.

Nancy Edwards

Nancy Edwards
is a Registered Nurse with a BSN from the University of San Francisco and an MS in Health Education from Nova Southeastern University. Read more >

While the first part of her career was spent in the medical arena largely working in staff development in hospitals, she has been involved with online learning in the academic environment since 1978. She has worked as an Instructional Designer, Director of Online Learning and as online faculty for both Florida Gulf Coast University and State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota. She has been a System Administrator for ANGEL since Fall 2004 and is presently an Application Analyst for Blackboard providing support for ANGEL clients.

Eric Kunnen

Eric Kunnen
is the Director of Distance Learning and Instructional Technologies at Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC) in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Read more >

His primary role focuses on advancing online learning at GRCC and supporting faculty professional development in the use of technology in teaching and learning. He has used Blackboard technology since 1999—back then it was "Blackboard CourseInfo 4"—and has been involved in system administration, project management for upgrades, faculty training and end user support. He's a frequent participant on listservs, is involved in beta testing and the Product Development Partnership Program, and is a member of the Blackboard Idea Exchange Steering Committee. Eric has a background in teaching computer science and biology at the secondary level and a master of arts in education with an emphasis in educational technology. He joined Ask The Doctors (Formerly the “Ask Dr. C” program) in 2006.

Brian Morgan

is currently the Chairperson of the Integrated Science and Technology Department at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. Read more >

Brian, a native of Chesapeake, Ohio, is also the program coordinator for the Computer and Information Technology major, planning course offerings and advising Students on education and IT career choices. Brian teaches computer programming, database management, web programming, and e-commerce courses both in the traditional classroom and as courses that are delivered 100% electronically. He has experience with many programming languages, such as VB.NET, C, C++, C#, PHP, ASP, HTML5, JavaScript, and SQL. He has been using WebCT/Blackboard since its inception in 1996. Before joining the faculty at Marshall University, he served as the school's WebCT administrator and trainer for nearly four years. When he does not have a keyboard attached to his wrists, Brian enjoys spending time with his three children, and working as a self-proclaimed do-it-yourselfer. He joined the Ask The Doctors program (formerly 'Ask Dr. C') service in 2000.

Mike Zimmerman

Mike Zimmerman
is a systems administrator at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), and has been managing their Blackboard system since 2001. Read more >

He came on board to work with the team integrating UNO's original CourseInfo server with the SIS system and has been actively involved in the Blackboard user community since then. Prior to joining UNO, Mike spent many years doing library work—he's still a librarian at heart—before getting a degree in computer science at the University of South Florida and starting his IT career as Solaris administrator and Webmaster at Penn State's Population Research Institute in the mid 1990's. When not in front of a computer, Mike enjoys family time or playing bass in local bands. He joined Ask The Doctors (Formerly the “Ask Dr. C” program) in 2006.
