Blackboard Catalyst Awards

The Blackboard Catalyst Awards honors those who push the boundaries of their educational programs and technology in order to deliver innovative and effective learning experiences in the following six categories.

Exemplary Course

This award recognizes course creators whose courses demonstrate best practices in four major areas: Course Design, Interaction & Collaboration, Assessment and Learner Support.

This award recognizes those who share advice, insight, and best practices with others as they approach key challenges and opportunities in e-learning.

Communications Strategy

This award honors those who use one or more Blackboard tools to support teaching and learning or campus engagement with innovative communications strategies.

Innovative Development

Important Dates for the 2012 Catalyst Awards Program
 
Dec. 1, 2011 Official Program Kick-off: Submissions accepted for all categories.
Dec. 1 – Jan. 15, 2012 Reviewer Recruiting (ECP only)
Feb. 29, 2012 Submissions Due (All categories)
Mid-March 2012 Reviewer Training (ECP only): Exemplary Course Program directors provide free, online training for Volunteer reviewers.
March 19 – April 6, 2012 Peer Review Period: Volunteer reviewers review their assigned submissions.
Early May 2012 Winners Notified by E-mail and Phone.
July 2012 Winners recognized at BbWorld 2012 in New Orleans.
