What are the key features available with Blackboard Connect for Learn?

If you use Blackboard Learn, versions 8 or 9:

  • Professor notifications are now available for text and text-to-speech enabling instructors to quickly and easily send messages to one or many students in their courses.
*With Learn 8 and 9, a manual import of student info will need to be uploaded to Blackboard Connect during implementation.
  • Connect contact information module allows students to enter their most up-to-date, preferred contact information in Learn so professors can send them notifications

If you use Blackboard Learn, version 9.1:

  • Professor notifications are now available for text and text-to-speech enabling instructors to quickly and easily send messages to one or many students in their courses.
*With Blackboard Learn 9.1, professors have access to their students’ contact information so messages can be sent starting on day one. This requires integration between the student information system (SIS) and Blackboard Connect.
  • Course notifications let students opt-in for automated text and text-to-speech alerts when course content, such as grade, exam, and assignment updates, is available. (only available with Learn 9.1)
  • System announcements enable Learn administrators to send text and text-to-speech system-wide announcements providing more ways to reach campus contacts.

  • Remind your class to be on their best behavior for a guest lecturer
