Look Who's Talking About Blackboard Collaborate 11

The creativity, passion, and innovation that our customers bring to online communication, education, and collaboration with Blackboard Collaborate is remarkable. Here’s what just some of our enthusiastic clients are saying.

What you are about to see in this new product is one of the most exceptional demonstrations of how parternship can benefit the user community that I've ever seen in higher ed technology. Blackboard Collaborate 11 builds on the fantastic architecture of Elluminate and the beautiful user interface that's simple and intuitive that those of us in the Wimba community have come to know and love. I know you are going to be as excited as I am when this new product rolls out, and I can't wait for you to see the amazing new features.

The product development process has been exciting. The new features are stimulating. The opportunity for feedback has been motivating, and the input of the group should be evident in the early versions of the tools. Our middle name is innovation. Blackboard Collaborate 11 should bring the power for us to push the envelope as we search for new and innovative ways of enhancing the learning exeprience.

Those of us on the client side talked, and those on the Blackboard Collaborate side did something really amazing. They listened. Together we collaborated and came up with a product I just know is going to enhance the communication and collaboration between you and your students and colleagues. Checkout the fresh new interface, the new and improved whiteboard, and my personal favorite, the web tour.

It is tremendously valuable for Drexel to have a presence in a group like this where the practioners and participants are passionate about enhancing education on behalf of their students and faculty. It is phenominal to work with the staff at Blackboard Collaborate because they feel a partnership, and that takes engagement to another level with and between the organizations.

We're excited about the new collaborative process that Blackboard Collaborate has been using as they combined Elluminate and Wimba. They got a lot of user input. We are also excited about the new features and functionality that help bridge the gap between the education uses out in the field and the webinar tools and bringthose together in a solution for education that's focused on education.

Those of us in education understand that there are large differences in terms of what we need in a technology solution versus those in corporate markets. Technology vendors like Blackboard Collaborate that take a proactive approach in designing its solutions by so actively seeking feedback from its customers, then have a solution that meets our needs 24/7, and allow us to be involved with its developmental roadmap, are highly desirable. This creates a solid vendor-client relationship, builds trust, and most importantly, builds strong, use-case specific products that allow us to achieve our goals.

I feel I speak for many of peers when I say that I respect how deeply Blackboard Collaborate engages its customers during its product development cycle. I appreciate the fact that I've had the privilege of working closely with Blackboard Collaborate's product management team as it developed its next-generation collaboration platform. It's this close working relationship that gives me the confidence that Blackboard Collaborate 11 will be the solution I need to help achieve many of my school's goals.

Analyst Quote

"Blackboard has executed precisely on its promise and delivered a product that improves on previous Wimba and Elluminate platforms. The specific promise included instant messaging, web conferencing, and voice services all under one umbrella – with a focus on ease of use.  Wainhouse Research likes the greater simplicity, simplified UI with the ”always-on” three buttons, customizable windows, drag & drop learners/content, voice-activated video switching, and – to put it simply – the execution of a vision."
