Prospective Partners

  1. How do I become a partner?
    To become a partner, visit the Blackboard Partnerships™ program registration site, fill out the information form with as much detail as possible and hit submit. A Blackboard Partnerships Team representative will contact you within 48 hours of receiving your inquiry.

  2. What are the different partnership levels?
    There are four partnership levels: Building Block, Signature, Premier, and Strategic—each designed to make a significant impact on learning and on your business goals.

  3. Does each platform have its own partnership program?
    There are currently partner programs for the following platforms: Blackboard Learn™, Blackboard Transact™, Blackboard Collaborate™ and Blackboard Mobile™.

  4. How much does it cost to become a partner?
    There is different pricing for each partner level and Blackboard platform. Please contact the Blackboard Partner Team for specific information.

  5. Is there a discounted price for non-profit organizations?
    Prices may vary depending on the partnering organization and partnership level.

  6. Who do I contact to follow up with my partnership inquiry or application?
    If, after 72 hours, you have not heard from a Blackboard representative, please contact the Blackboard Partner Team.

  7. How long does it typically take to process inquiries or applications?
    Processing inquiries may take up to 48 hours. Application processing can take up to one week, but usually is completed within 72 hours.

  8. Do Partners have access to special resources?
    Of course! Partners have access to resources such as a Partner Welcome Kit with instructions on how to get started developing your Blackboard Building Block™, a list of Blackboard events, and a marketing toolkit containing a public relations guide, newsletter guidelines, and other helpful material.

Current Partners

  1. How do I create my partner and building block profile on Blackboard Extensions?
    Please go to the Blackboard Extensions admin site, login in with your Blackboard credentials and follow the instructions provided during your application process to create your partner or Blackboard Building Block profiles. If you cannot login or forgot your login credentials, contact the Blackboard Client Operations team. Contact the Blackboard Partner Team to receive detailed instructions on how to create your profile.

  2. Who do I contact for technical support?
    Contact information for technical support is dependent on your level of partnership. Please contact the Blackboard Partner Team for details.

  3. How can I promote my Blackboard partnership?
    There are many ways to promote your Blackboard partnership. Please consult the Partner Marketing Toolkit or your Blackboard Partner Manager for more information.

  4. What types of marketing/press materials do I need to show Blackboard before publishing?
    All press and marketing materials must first be approved by Blackboard prior publishing. Please review the guidelines outlined in the Partner Marketing Toolkit before drafting your content.

  5. How do I add licenses or an ANGEL agreement to my existing Blackboard Partnership?
    Adding Blackboard licenses, including ANGEL, is an easy process that you can complete online. First, contact the Blackboard Partner Team and express your interest in adding licenses to your membership. Once approved, please visit the Blackboard Partnership™ program registration site, select “I am an existing member and I wish to add licenses to my membership,” and enter the authorization code provided to you by your Blackboard Partner Manager.

  1. What are Blackboard Building Blocks?
    Blackboard Building Blocks are a set of integration tools that enable third-party and client developers to build added capabilities into their Blackboard platforms. This allows academic and commercial developers to build custom teaching and learning solutions.

  2. How do I install Blackboard Building Blocks?
    Blackboard Building Block applications are deployed as packaged files and can be installed through the System Administrator Panel user interface.

  3. Where can I find Blackboard Building Blocks?
    You can find Blackboard Building Blocks on the Blackboard Extensions site.

  4. Where can I find a list of current Blackboard partners?
    To search for existing Blackboard Partners, visit the Blackboard Extensions site and filter by Partner.

  5. How do I find and download a Blackboard Building Block, e-Pack or Course Cartridge?
    To find and download a Building Block, e-Pack or Course Cartridge, go to the Blackboard Extensions site and filter by Building Block, e-Pack or Course Cartridge.

  6. Who do I contact if I’m having technical issues with a Building Block built by a third party?
    If you have questions or are experiencing technical difficulties with a Blackboard Building Block, please contact the company or institution who built the integration. You can find this information on the company’s profile listing on Blackboard Extensions.

  7. Who do I contact if I’m having trouble with a Blackboard-built Building Block?
    If you have questions or are experiencing technical difficulties with a Blackboard-built Building Block, please contact your System Administrator or Blackboard Account Manager.

  8. Who do I contact if I’m having technical difficulties with Blackboard?
    If you have questions or are experiencing technical difficulties with your Blackboard software, please contact your System Administrator or Blackboard Account Manager.
