General Manager, Blackboard Student Services
Student Services, part of Blackboard’s Education Services division, delivers on Blackboard’s goal of building a better education experience by extending an institution’s resources to meet the growing demands of today’s students. As general manager for Blackboard Student Services, Craig Chanoff is responsible for the division that delivers multi channel support services to students, faculty and staff on behalf of education organizations to improve engagement and accelerate learning throughout the student lifecycle. This organization supports every aspect of the student experience from recruitment and enrollment to financial aid and student accounts to learning support and persistence to graduation. Craig delivers strategic guidance to and ensures success of Sales, Marketing, Operations, Product Development and Product Management.
Craig is a nine-year Blackboard veteran who also maintains responsibility for managing corporate strategy for client care. In this role, Craig is leading the charge to enhance Blackboard’s client relationships and ensure exceptional service for all Blackboard solutions. Craig works to create a consistent and positive client experience, ensuring that all departments treat clients holistically.
Craig has more than 15 years of client relationship management, executive leadership and technology implementation experience. In addition to his responsibilities at Blackboard, Craig regularly guest lectures at universities on creating exceptional customer service practices. Craig holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Decision and Information Systems from the University of Maryland.
