U.S. Military Education Institutions Leverage Blackboard Technology to Educate and Train Service Personnel

learning technology, announces today that ten academic institutions
serving members of the United States military have recently renewed
and upgraded licenses for Blackboard(R) products and services.

Several of the institutions, United States Naval Academy, The U.S.

Suite(TM), enabling students and faculty to connect, learn, and share
resources and materials any time and from any location.

The U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) consolidated its
Blackboard implementation to provide course delivery to all 33 of its
schools and centers which serve more than 400,000 soldiers and
service personnel.
All ten of the military education institutions leverage Blackboard's
technology to enhance traditional classroom instruction and enable
service personnel and family members to access training materials
365x24x7. In addition, the Blackboard e-Learning platform will
facilitate greater collaboration between faculty and students, which
otherwise might not be possible, particularly for service personnel
on active duty and away from the traditional classroom environment.
